The 2016 home tour season is quickly approaching and one of my favorite tours is back this May. Restore Oregon is hosting the Mid Century Modern home tour on May 14th and we are excited to be once again sponsoring the tour this year!
In the past, they have featured designs by one chosen architect but this year the theme is the “House of Tomorrow” and will feature homes of the era that embrace futuristic design concepts by many different architects and builders.
Tour details:
Date: May 14, 2016
Time: 10:00 am – 4:00 pm
Cost: $35 – $45.00 (depending on membership status)
Purchase tickets now at the Restore Oregon website here.
In addition to spotlighting Mid-Century architecture, the goal for our tour is to draw attention to the need for thoughtful preservation of Modern architecture. Homes on the tour may have been lovingly restored, but there are so many more Modern buildings whose historic significance remains unrecognized, and are very much in need of stewardship.*
There will also be a companion talk The Mid-Century House: A Vision of Tomorrow the evening prior to the tour.
Friday, May 13th at 7:00 pm. | Central Lutheran Church, Portland
$10 – $15
